Horse Riding Team

The riding team is a competitive team made up of the A, B and C teams. The competitions are all done riding unknown horses provided on the day and are comprised of a dressage test and a show jumping round.

All teams compete in BUCS leagues, the 1st team competing in the Championship League with the 2nd and 3rd teams both competing in the Trophy league. Both leagues go through to regional rounds, the winner of each qualifying for the National Championships.

RVC has always been very competitive with two teams qualifying for regionals last year and the A team going on to compete at nationals becoming the dressage champions and overall silver medallists.

Our motto is work hard but play much harder! We have a huge amount of fun going on Tour abroad every year (this year we had a great time in Prague) and also have regular socials. This year we are inviting social members to join our team too for people who might want to help or watch at shows and would like to attend our socials. This is great opportunity for people interested in horses and riding to meet like minded people and be a part of the competitions.

All three teams currently train at Greenacres Equestrian Centre in Hertfordshire near Potters Bar where we also hold our three home competitions.
